Why This Role Matters

This unique internship is where design meets education. You will focus on integrating design thinking into our curriculum and assist with the spatial planning of classrooms and shared learning environments to enhance our rigorous STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) initiatives.

Duties

Your Responsibilities (Training That Transforms)

• Curriculum Development: Assist in developing hands-on, project-based learning activities that incorporate architectural and engineering design principles for students.
• Spatial Design: Create conceptual designs and 2D/3D visualizations for optimizing classroom layouts, maker spaces, and outdoor learning/playground areas.
• Resource Management: Help research and prepare grant applications and seek resources specifically for architecture and STEM education materials.
• Instructional Support: Support teachers by organizing and maintaining educational materials and equipment for STEM activities.
• Integration: Help teachers integrate the Planning and Programming components effectively into existing Science and Math curricula.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a program in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, Urban Planning, or Education (with a focus on STEM).
• Proficiency with design software (e.g., CAD, SketchUp, Revit) is highly preferred.
• Creativity, problem-solving skills, and a passion for engaging children in design challenges.
