Position Summary

Direct and control the electrical maintenance for the plant systems, ensuring adequate and trained manpower and materials are available to keep the plant operating efficiently with minimum downtime.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

1. Rveiw maintenance request and assigns work and priorities to maintenannce personnel.

2. Responsible for training and supervision of maintenance personnel
\n
3. Must be Familiar with OSHA Action Plan and conducts training. Audits plant fire protection system.
\n
4. Protects the safety of human and capital resources by ensuring that electrical staff are adequately trained on the electrical maintenance of the FIKE fire system.
\n
5. Recommends changes in maintenance crew and deals with problems concerning promotion, transfer, absenteeism and training.
\n
6. Assists purchasing with the development of an effective parts and supplies control system to maintain an adequate inventory of electrical spares at minimum cost.
\n
7. Recommends changes in operating procedures to improve efficiency and safety of equipment operation.
\n
8. Maintains a preventative maintenance program to reduce downtime.
\n
9. Maintains record systems to pinpoint problem areas and initiate prompt corrective action.

10. Contributes to the development and implementation of an effective safety program
\n
11. Work with production supervisors to promote smooth operations and maximum efficiency of the plant.

12. Perform other duties as assigned

Education/Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills

1. A.S. or B.S in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and 3 or more years experience in a manufacturing environment
\n
2. PLC Systems experience
\n
3. Interactive graphic system experience
\n
4. Computer systems experience
\n
5. Knowledge of plant processing and equipment (wood products a plus)
\n
6. Ability to use spreadsheets and word processing software
\n

Physical Requirements

Performs general physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs, moving whole body and multilimbed coordination
