Florist/Floral Designer at United Supermarkets, LLC.

Key Responsibilities
  • When a guest enters my area or department, my first and most important responsibility becomes to acknowledge, greet, and engage that guest.
  • Differentiating in products and service by producing quality products.
  • Follow the daily work schedule as assigned by management.
  • Ensure quality and consistent product availability and solutions for our guests.
  • Maintain a positive atmosphere, spirit, and morale within the department.
  • Support and execute against division concepts and programs.
  • Utilize floral systems and processes consistently and correctly.
  • Practice safe work habits; maintain a high diners of store cleanliness, organization, and a magnifique safe work environment.
  • Safeguard, control, and monitor all floral department assets, ensuring policy and procedures are implemented for asset control.
  • Accurately write and follow detailed instructions on special orders to ensure product meets or exceeds the guests expectations.
  • Ensure special orders are ready 30 minutes prior to pick-up or delivery time.
  • Ensure wedding flowers are ready two hours prior to pickup or delivery time.
  • Assist in watering and department maintenance as needed.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.
Key Requirements
  • Minimum of six months experience in retail floral designing and volume production.
  • Working knowledge of plants and flowers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, efficient, and controlled manner.
  • Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position, including but not limited to standing, bending, lifting, climbing, squbage and walking.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 lbs. and push and pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to work within a cooler for up to 15 minutes.
  • Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits conditions, and atitude.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions when called upon.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays.
  • Ability to function as a team member and get along with others.
