The Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) is one of Georgia’s four health agencies serving the state’s growing population of almost 10 million people. DCH serves as the lead agency for Medicaid and oversees the State Health Benefit Plan (SHBP), Healthcare Facility Regulation and Health Information Technology in Georgia for one in four Georgians. Through effective planning, purchasing and oversight, DCH provides access to affordable, quality health care to millions of Georgians, including some of the state’s most vulnerable and under-served populations. Six enterprise offices support the work of the agency’s four program divisions. DCH employees are based in Atlanta, Cordele and across the state.
The Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) is currently seeking qualified applicants for a Human Resources Supervisor in the Office of Human Resources. The Human Resources Supervisor serves as a working lead within the Office of Human Resources, providing day to day supervision and guidance to a small team of HR Generalists and support staff. This position ensures consistent, timely, and compliant delivery of HR services to assigned divisions, including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding/offboarding, and performance management support. The Human Resources Supervisor partners closely with the HR Business Relations Manager and team, as well as with division managers when needed, to align human resource operations with agency goals and policies. This is a hybrid position that requires in office and remote work. The key responsibilities require the Human Resources Supervisor to successfully perform the following:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diplomas/GED and seven (7) years of professional human resource experience, which includes three (3) years in a lead worker, team leader, or supervisory role, or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level Generalist 4 (HRP014) or position equivalent. Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at hire level listed may be substituted year over year.
