Kimball Electronics, a $1B+ publicly traded, global, multifaceted manufacturing solutions provider that has an excellent internship opportunity for a law student to experience the corporate legal world by assisting in various challenging, high-profile projects and gain solid, hands-on experience in the field of corporate governance and sustainability reporting. The Legal Analyst Intern will play an integral role in coordinating and supporting important aspects of Kimball Electronics' sustainability/ESG reporting and will assist the legal department on other corporate governance matters as they arise during the summer, including development of legal templates and contract playbooks, researching M&A and asset acquisition transactions and assisting with conducting in-depth profiling and due diligence. This can be a full-time, paid internship or taken for credit (with approval of the law school) and is available for 6-12 weeks starting in May 2025. The Legal Analyst Intern is a part of our Shared Services team, and can be based in the Indianapolis, IN area, at our headquarters in Jasper, IN, at one of our global facilities, or remote.
The Intern will report directly to the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer and work closely with our corporate counsel.
Given the small size of the team, our new team member must be very well-organized, self-motivated, and display a strong attention to detail. This internship offers significant responsibility and broad exposure to many aspects of the business, including the opportunity to present the results of your work to the company's leadership team. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in corporate law, governance, environmental law, or international law; but would also have an interest in operational aspects of the business. Fluency in a language spoken at one of our global locations in addition to English is a plus.
