Orthopedic Technician - Part-Time 0.01 FTE at Providence Health and Services summary:

The Orthopedic Technician provides patient care under the supervision of medical staff, assisting in applying casts, wound care, and educating patients in orthopedic settings. This role requires orthopedic technical training, certification, and experience in clinical environments. Description

Under the general supervision of the Back Office Lead/Medical Office Manager, the Orthopedic Technician will assist the orthopedic physician in providing casts and/or limb stability, wound care, general patient education, and general nursing care to the maximum extent allowed by their certification and/or licensure.

Required Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Completion of an accredited orthopedic technical training program.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
  • 1 year At least one (1) year full-time work experience in a hospital, clinic or office setting, working directly in the treatment of orthopedic patients.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NAOT certification upon hire.
