Klosterman Baking Company is seeking an energetic Workplace safety Coordinator for their Manufacturing facility in Springfield, OH. Join us today to become a part of our fantastic team!

Through the leadership of one of their manufacturing operations, this person will be a key player in improving the operation so that the organization can continue to grow and be prepared for predicted success and demand.

The ideal candidate is someone that is freshly educated to all OSHA standards and regulations, with a strong interest in food manufacturing .This person will be the key leader on site for all workplace safety programs, and a key driver of workplace safety culture.

Workplace Safety Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Working closely with the plant management and hourly employees to lead the organization to a safety-conscious culture.
• Key leader on site developing, implementing, and enforcing procedures that effectively manage incident rates and health exposures within the company.
• Responsible for the administration and management of the company’s safety programs, including safety inspections, accident investigations, and employee training
• Lead safety committee as safety hazards are identified, solutions are determined, and tasks are delegated
• Direct accident investigation procedures
• Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues
• Intervene in unsafe activities or operations

Requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years related experience and/or training (preferred, not required); or equivalent combination of education and experience in food manufacturing or occupational safety and health.
• B.S. or B.A. degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety & Health, related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
• Bilingual in Spanish (communication) preferred
• Excellent Communication and leadership Skills
• Self stater mindset- ability to successfully roll out a new safety program through layers of workforce at the location
• Motivated individual on the manufacturing floor to maintain visibility, cognizance of operations, and maintain relationships with workforce
