Service Writer

Location: Goodlettsville, TN, US, 37072 Position Type: Professional

Performs all functions relating to the sale and/or handling of replacement parts and accessories. Assist customers with parts requirements. Processing order paperwork and shipment of parts to maintain company standard of customer satisfaction. Aid and work to implement strategic pricing strategies and pricing programs. Service Coordinator communicates with customers and the shop.

Prevost is looking for someone in the auto/truck repair industry that can efficiently schedule shop repairs and speak to customers about issues and costs. If you prioritize customer satisfaction, timeliness, and strong communication skills, you will be an ideal candidate.

Core Responsibilities
  • Responds to customer inquiries about replacement parts, accessories or technical support.
  • Answers phone calls and gather data needed to identify parts requirements.
  • May package parts and accessories for shipment to the appropriate destination.
  • May process special order requests when necessary.
  • Assists parts sales specialists and warehouse specialists in the processing of orders
  • Processes branch service department parts orders.
  • Maintains up-to-date documentation relating to parts and accessories.
  • Maintains work area and environment.
  • Participate in job related training exercises when appropriate or necessary.
  • Welcome customers or respond to customer phone requests
  • Finalize work order processing and invoicing
  • Distribute and keep technical information up to date
  • Train co-workers on various aspects of their work responsibilities or expertise, as requested
  • Handle a high volume of calls
  • Process work orders
  • Close repair orders
  • Coordinate for repair estimates with Technicians and Managers

Minimum Education Required

HS diploma or GED Preferred

One year vocational training or two years in the automotive/truck/bus industry Preferred

Good communication skills

Technical knowledge is a strong plus

Proficiency in MS Office applications

Working knowledge of SAP preferred

Minimum Years of Experience Required

3-5 years of customer service experience Preferred
