• Worksite Location: Prefers  Wilmar or Glenwood
• Other locations: Alexandria, Starbuck, St. Joseph, Redwood Falls, Paynesville, Melrose
• Compensation: $30.00-$50.00 per hour
• Summer Fridays - 1/2 Day Fridays during non-busy season

What you will do as the Tax Accountant:

• Prepare reports for upper management, quarterly payroll, and tax reports, worker’s compensation reports, unemployment correspondence, financial statements for clients, and 1040, 1065, and 1120 tax returns
• Execute and prepare pay orders through the electronic system or distribute paychecks
• Calculate wages based on hours worked and administer payment to personnel electronically or on paper
• Track hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information, etc.
• Set up payroll and accounting for clients
• Research, investigate, and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance
• Conduct client interviews

What you will bring to the Tax Accountant role:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• 2+ years of tax accounting experience
• CPA certification or ability to obtain CPA
• Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication, organizational, collaboration, interpersonal, and time management skills
